#66.2: Where Does Gear Come From? The People Behind the H9000 with Pete Bischoff, Tim Sternfeld & Don Elwell
This is the second episode in our three-part series surrounding the Eventide H9000. In this episode, John and Stewart talk with Pete Bischoff, Tim Sternfeld and Don Elwell about how they got to Eventide, the projects they've worked on at Eventide and their own backgrounds in music and technology.
Pete Bischoff
Pete Bischoff spent many years as an engineer and technician at Electric Lady Studios before going to Eventide to work as a Sound Designer. Pete has done testing and algorithm design work on the H9, and worked on the prototype testing for the H9000, along with the user interface design. He’s also a part of the behind the scenes Gear Club team.
Tim Sternfeld
Since 2012 Tim Sternfeld has worked as a Hardware Design Engineer at Eventide. Tim is responsible for the audio routing chip in the H9000, and had a hand in the front panel hardware design. Additionally, Tim, along with Jim Allard, led the design and development of the Rose delay pedal.
Don Elwell
Don Elwell has been working with digital audio for almost 30 years. He’s had a hand in the design of the MixingLink, and the SP2016 hardware reissue. He’s responsible for the hardware design for the H9000, and works in the communications division of Eventide, as well as the audio division.
